New architect strengthens Nittenau building authority for innovative projects
Sandra Böcking, an experienced architect from Thuringia, is now joining the team at the Nittenau Building Authority. With her extensive know-how and her passion for innovative construction projects, she will support the field of building construction and make a significant contribution to the implementation of new urban development projects.
Professional background
Sandra Böcking successfully completed her diploma in 2001 and began her career in the architecture industry at a construction company in Neunburg vorm Wald. This is how she came to her new home region. She worked for a planning office since May 2002 and moved to Stadtbau Regensburg in 2012, where she was able to gain valuable experience in the area of urban development projects. Her career ultimately took her to Regensburg in 2016 to work at a renowned housing cooperative. Sandra Böcking had been looking for a job closer to her home in Reichenbach for two years. Her dream of finding a job in the “beautiful Regental” came true on October 1, 2024, when she started her job with the city.
Projects in the building department
With her new job, she will be supporting the Nittenau building authority in the future and will be contributing her specialist knowledge to projects such as the new construction of the after-school care center, the redesign of the Angerinsel, the children's home on Fischbacher Straße, the Fischbach elementary school and the feasibility study for the new fire station.
Commitment in the region
In addition to her professional career, Sandra Böcking is also heavily involved in the region in her private life. She is co-founder of the photo club “Foto Desperados” and gives her own pottery courses through the Nittenau Volksbildungswerk.
