Fluffy adventures: Alpaca hikes delight Burglengenfeld children
As part of this year's summer holiday program run by the city of Burglengenfeld, the children experienced an unforgettable alpaca hike that took place in Katzheim at the beginning of September. The event took place at the Mauerer family's alpaca farm, known as “Black Mountain Alpacas,” and offered young participants a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the gentle animals.
The children had the opportunity to get to know the alpacas in a relaxed atmosphere. First they were allowed to pet the fluffy animals and learn more about their way of life. Alpacas are not only known for their soft fur, but also for their friendly and curious nature. The children learned that these animals originally come from the Andes in South America and are kept there as farm animals.
An exciting adventure in the forest
After their first encounter with the alpacas, the children went on an exciting hike through the forest. The fresh air and nature made the experience even more beautiful. The children loved walking the alpacas on a leash and watching the animals during the walk. When they returned to the farm, they were allowed to feed the alpacas with tasty muesli, which was the highlight of the day for many.
To round off the experience, the children were able to express their creativity by making crafts with real alpaca wool. They made small works of art and learned how versatile alpaca wool can be used. This activity not only promoted creativity, but also an understanding of the importance of sustainable materials.
Overall, the alpaca hike was a complete success and left the children with lasting memories. The combination of learning, playing and creativity made this day a special experience as part of the holiday program.
