Requirements for the German sports badge
The German sports badge covers four basic motor skills: endurance, strength, speed and coordination. In order to receive the badge, at least the exercise at the bronze level must be passed in each of these groups in a calendar year (January 1st - December 31st). In addition, proof of swimming is required and applies to all participants. The requirements vary depending on age, gender and any disability, so that everyone has the chance to take part in this extraordinary sporting event. German sports badge provides further information on the specific requirements.
The German Sports Badge is awarded in the colors gold, silver or bronze, depending on the achievements in the various disciplines. To award the badges, at least bronze achievements in all four basic skills are required. The achievements are evaluated using a points system in which bronze can be achieved with 4 to 7 points, silver with 8 to 10 points and gold with 11 to 12 points. Sport for Saxony explains the different criteria and helps athletes prepare for their exams.
