A step forward in climate protection
The awarding of the Regensburg Climate Prize is a significant milestone in climate protection for the city and the district of Regensburg. This honor joins Germany's numerous progressive measures that show tangible progress despite the challenges in climate protection. Innovative projects in particular, such as the largest heat pump in Europe in Cologne and the Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm, illustrate this trend. Focus highlights that Germany is on the right track with a number of projects that promote sustainable energy production.
In this context, the Regensburg Climate Prize plays an essential role by not only strengthening individual initiatives, but also awareness of climate protection throughout the region. The commitment of the award winners and the projects they initiate set an example for a sustainable future and are intended to involve other actors in climate protection.
