On September 24, 2025, an important municipal council meeting took place in the Sinzing municipality's meeting room, which lasted from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Several key topics were discussed that evening, in particular the construction of a new daycare center and various contract awards.
A main point of the meeting was the presentation of the current status of informationConstruction of a 6-group daycare center in Viehhausen. Alexander von Schultz presented the updated schedule, which outlined progress and next steps toward completion. This measure is within the framework of the comprehensive legal requirements of the Bavarian Child Education and Care Act (BayKiBiG), which creates a uniform basis for supporting daycare centers, kindergartens and after-school care centers.
Contract awards and operating costs

Hartl Malerbetrieb GmbH, with a gross offer price of 62,789.76 euros, which is around 13.6% below the cost calculation. The Christian Menzl carpentry company was awarded the contract for the carpentry work, but at a gross price of 125,774.67 euros, approx. 17.37% above the calculated costs.
Another topic was thisService contract for the new Viehhausen children's home. The First Mayor was authorized to sign the required service agreement. At the same time, the local council expressed its thanks to Caritas Regensburg, which is responsible for the facility.
TheOperating cost statementsvarious institutions were also discussed. The accounts of the Protestant children's home St. Markus Sinzing showed a surplus of 4,012.65 euros, a positive contrast to the previous year's deficit of 33,324.78 euros. In contrast, the Viehhausen kindergarten, the “StarKids” school day care center and the “Donaufischerl” and “Sinzinger Winzlinge” daycare centers recorded deficits of various levels, some of which the municipality covers over 80% of the costs.
Regulations for future developments
An important point in the meeting was the approval of theAmendment to the parking space regulations. This new regulation will come into force on October 1, 2025 and will require proof of parking spaces in the future. However, a draft to introduce an obligation to provide evidence of a playground was rejected.
The background to these measures is the legal framework Bavarian Child Education and Care Act, which is also crucial for the financing of childcare facilities. The requirements for booking times and the corresponding funding help to take the different care needs of families into account.
With these resolutions, the municipality of Sinzing is demonstrating its commitment to future-oriented childcare and improved infrastructural provision for its citizens.
