Apple collection campaign in Oberpfraundorf: Fresh fruit for everyone!
On September 2nd, 2025, the Regensburg Landscape Conservation Association will announce an important apple collection campaign in Oberpfraundorf. This initiative aims to preserve local orchards and orchards in the Regensburg district. The first apple collection dates are scheduled for September 13, 2025 and October 11, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The collection point is in the warehouse of the district building yard, directly at the motorway underpass, with the entrance opposite the commuter car park. The Landschaftspflegeverband Regensburg expects active participation from citizens and would like to increase the value of orchards through this campaign.
The apple collection campaign is carried out in collaboration with the Nagler winery, which processes the collected fruit into regional juice. The aim is not only to collect and use the fruit, but also to ensure fair prices for local producers and to promote nature conservation in the region.
Conditions of participation and delivery
To take part in the campaign, the apples must be fresh and undamaged, and only unsprayed fruit from orchards and orchards may be sold. The apples should be delivered in suitable containers such as bags or boxes that are not transported loose. Upon delivery, the apples are weighed and a weighing slip is issued.
Billing takes place in cash at the price of 15 euros per 100 kilograms of apples. Alternatively, participants have the opportunity to exchange the apples for vouchers for Juradistl apple juice or other products from the Nagler winery. It is important that customers of the winery bring their customer number with them and provide them in order to benefit from the vouchers.
Commitment to sustainable agriculture
The campaign is an important example of supporting sustainable agriculture and preserving regional fruit trees. According to NABU, orchards play an essential role in biodiversity in rural regions. They provide habitat for numerous endangered animal and plant species and contribute to weakening climate change.
This collection campaign in Oberpfraundorf is not only an opportunity for local citizens to actively participate in preserving their environment, but also an opportunity to use regional food more consciously. The commitment of organizations such as the Regensburg Landscape Conservation Association and the Nagler winery makes a decisive contribution to highlighting the importance of orchards in the district.
