Next Sunday, September 8th, Schierling will be transformed into a vibrant center full of life and activity. The popular autumn market takes place from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and offers a varied program for all age groups. The market town invites everyone to enjoy the festive atmosphere and explore the numerous stalls while the shops are open and inviting to browse.

There are some exciting attractions this year, especially for younger visitors. On the Viehmarktwiese, children can jump in a bouncy castle or test their skills on a bobby car course. The altar boys provide freshly prepared popcorn to satisfy your hunger every now and then, while the ladies from Herrngiersdorf offer delicious coffee and creative crepes. Another highlight is the stand with freshly baked Baumkuchen, which promises sweet treats.

Technical innovations and musical entertainment

Technology enthusiasts have the opportunity to find out about the latest brine-water heat pump at the stand of the municipal company Markt Schierling. This environmentally friendly technology will be installed in every house in the new residential area “Am Regensburger Weg 2” and shows how modern technology can be integrated into everyday life.

The market's musical accompaniment is provided by various groups on the mobile stage at Rathausplatz. The SV Eggmühl jazz dance group and the Schierlinger Dorfmuse ensure a good atmosphere, while the “Schirelinga” brass band provides hearty sounds at the Huber bakery.

The culinary offerings are diverse and invite you to feast. Enjoy Steckerlfisch from Rauscher, cheese from Schweiss and the delicious French specialties as well as wines from the friends Eggmühl – Penmarc’h. The “Schierlinger Gennßhenkher” also have a stand and offer regional delicacies.

Craftsmanship and creativity are also the focus of the market. Visitors can admire handmade wreaths, chub figures and Hans Weger's basketry and woven goods. The repair café at Rathausplatz 2 is open and offers the opportunity to repair broken items. In addition, the “Lustige Stitches” craft group is celebrating its 15th anniversary in its premises. Book lovers can browse for literary treasures in the market library's book flea market.

Another interesting stand is run by the beekeeping association, which provides insights into the fascinating world of bees and the art of beekeeping. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in nature and honey.
