Passport applications: Longer waiting times for holidaymakers in Pettendorf
Applying for passports remains a challenge for many citizens as delivery times continue to be longer than usual. There is important information to note, especially for travelers who want to travel outside the EU to countries where a passport is required. Some of these countries require that the passport is valid for at least six months upon entry. This means that travelers planning a trip in the near future should apply for their passport in good time, i.e. at least six months before it expires.
The Federal Ministry of the Interior advises that you apply for a passport when planning or booking your trip. In this way, possible delays can be avoided and travelers can be certain that they have valid identification documents in good time. This is particularly important to avoid unpleasant surprises at the airport.

This shows that many people rely on their applications being processed quickly. Despite this high demand, Bundesdruckerei GmbH is able to serve express passport orders with an impressive delivery reliability of 99.6%.
