Free online lectures for young parents: tips and support
The Coordinating Child Protection Agency (KoKi) in the Regensburg district has launched an exciting online lecture series for young parents. This series entitled “Parents at the Start with KoKi” offers free monthly lectures that deal with various topics related to parenting and family life. Anyone interested can now register for the events from October to December.
The lectures are designed to provide practical information and support for parents going through the challenging phase of raising children. The topics are designed to address common questions and concerns from parents and offer solutions.
Planned lectures in detail
The lecture “Help, my child is in the autonomy phase!” will take place on October 16th from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. instead of. Here parents find out what the autonomy phase is all about, which is often accompanied by tantrums. The speaker Julia Berschneider, an experienced educator, will present various educational methods that help to lovingly accompany children during this phase.
The next lecture on November 14th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. is entitled “That little bit of housekeeping – what is really important in stressful times.” Christine Achhammer, a home economist, will give participants valuable tips on how to achieve more structure and happiness in their household as the family grows and responsibilities increase.
The lecture “Time for me – yoga with baby” will be offered on December 11th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. In this short unit, parents can try out relaxing yoga exercises, including with their baby. Yoga teacher Alexandra Kaiser will instruct simple movement sequences and breathing exercises that offer a welcome break in the often hectic run-up to Christmas.
