New residential building project in Hönighausen: Lappersdorf is planning sustainably!
On January 31, 2026, the approval for the fifth amendment to the land use plan with an integrated landscape plan of the Lappersdorf market for the “Hönighausen Nord” area was officially announced. This approval was granted by the Regensburg District Office on January 12, 2026, as shown on the market town's website Lappersdorf is to be read. The Lappersdorf market town council had already noted the change at its meeting on December 9, 2025.
The land use plan covers an area of around 2.7 hectares that is designated for residential construction in Hönighausen. At the same time, a take-back area of around 1.8 hectares was defined in the Kareth district. These areas are currently used for agriculture, a use that will continue to exist in Kareth. The return area has no significant negative impact on the environment, while the planned residential building area in Hönighausen is considered necessary in order to meet the ongoing need for living space in the Regensburg metropolitan area.
Sustainable development and good connections
The planned residential building area in Hönighausen is intended not only to help cover housing needs, but also to promote sustainable urban development. This is particularly important as it is considered one of the last affordable building areas in the Lappersdorf market. The new residential area is accessed via the existing main road, which offers good connections to the transport network, which increases the quality of living in this region.
The location of the areas in Hönighausen also offers a high quality of living, thanks to their connection to infrastructure facilities. In addition, the environmental report prepared as part of the process deals with the effects on people, animals, plants, water, climate, landscape and cultural monuments. According to the results, the overall environmental impacts are rated as low to medium.
Inspection and deadlines
The land use plan can be viewed during general opening hours in the Lappersdorf town hall, room no. 306. Interested citizens have one year after the announcement to submit procedural and formal requirements. With this announcement, the change to the zoning plan becomes legally effective, which represents a further step towards the sustainable development of housing in the community.
