Carnival parade Hemau 2026: party mood with 39 groups and a big party!
On February 5, 2026, the city of Hemau got everything in place for the upcoming carnival parade. The big parade will take place on February 15, 2026 and starts at 2 p.m. This year an impressive 39 groups registered, including 26 floats and 13 walking groups. The train starts at the Volksfestplatz and ends on Regensburger Straße in front of the Tangrintler shopping center (TEZ). Following the parade, visitors can expect a large carnival party on the town square, where DJ G-Man will provide the musical entertainment. The guests are also entertained by members of the specialist shop group, TV Hemau and the Hemau fire department.
Since a successful celebration also requires the appropriate precautions, the Prinzengarde bar will be open on this day in the old fire station from 6 p.m. There are also toilet facilities available for visitors at several locations such as the Volksfestplatz, the Old Town Hall, the Zehntstadel, the Old Fire Station and the Bleicher House.
Security and traffic arrangements
In order to make the carnival procession safe, appropriate road closures are necessary. The area around the town square will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. and will remain closed until 7 a.m. on February 16, 2026, with the exception of regular traffic. The local thoroughfare from the Volksfestplatz to the Gewerbering is also closed from 9 a.m. until the end of the carnival procession. The participants return via Fliederstrasse, Karl-Maag-Strasse and Riedenburger Strasse back to the town square.
Visitors should pay attention to the changed traffic routes. RVV line 28 will end and begin at the Hemau TEZ shopping center stop on February 15, 2026. Stops such as the Hemau Volksfestplatz, the hospital, Beratzhausener Straße, the town square and the special school cannot be served on this day. A replacement stop will be set up at the Hemau shopping center.
There is free parking for those arriving at the Tangrintelhalle. There is also a paid parking lot available in Pfalz-Neuburg-Allee to create enough space for visitors. The city of Hemau and the organizers are looking forward to a happy and harmonious carnival festival.
