75,000 euros for rural projects: Submit ideas for Hemau now!

The ILE Jura-Tangrintel has started its first round of funding and is making a regional budget of 75,000 euros available for 2026. This program aims to support projects that strengthen and further develop rural areas. We are looking for creative and useful ideas that can contribute to improving the quality of life in the nine participating communities - Beratzhausen, Brunn, Deuerling, Duggendorf, Hemau, Holzheim am Forst, Kallmünz, Laaber and Painten. Examples of eligible projects include building a stork's nest, building a village bakery or setting up outdoor sofas at viewing points, such as Hemau reports.

Not only municipalities are eligible to apply, but also clubs, associations as well as private individuals and companies from the communities mentioned. Small projects with a budget between 2,000 and 20,000 euros can receive up to 80% of the eligible costs, but a maximum of up to 10,000 euros. An important aspect is that the projects must not have started yet and must be completed by September 20, 2026 at the latest. Applications must be submitted to the ILE Jura-Tangrintel office by February 15, 2026.

Advantages of the regional budget

The regional budget offer has enjoyed great popularity in Bavaria due to its thematic breadth and simple application conditions. In particular, many clubs with innovative ideas have turned to this financial support. This funding contributes to strengthening voluntary work and thus to ensuring the social quality of life at the local level, as on stmelf.bayern.de is highlighted.

In addition, the existing funding structures in rural areas offer extensive opportunities for developing and implementing concepts. The funding program makes it possible to create integrated rural development concepts (ILEK) that are intended to preserve and further develop rural areas not only as a living space, but also as a work, recreation and natural area. These concepts promote cooperation between all relevant actors and are crucial for local development, such as Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food represents.

The funding applications and conditions vary depending on the federal state, but it is clear that all federal states - except Brandenburg, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia - provide funds for improving agricultural structure and coastal protection in order to support rural development nationwide.
