Commemoration of Kristallnacht: Invitation to the event in Regensburg
November 9, 2024 marks the 86th anniversary of Kristallnacht. On the night of November 9th to 10th, 1938, synagogues burned all over Germany. Jewish shops and apartments were demolished. Many Jewish fellow citizens were imprisoned and killed.
Commemorative event in Regensburg
The city of Regensburg and the Jewish community are holding a memorial service in the Runtingersaal of the Runtingerhaus. The event location is at Keplerstraße 1. The celebration starts at 7 p.m.
MayorGertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischergives greetings. Also the chairwoman of the Jewish community,Ilse Danziger, will share thoughts on November 9th. Students from the Von-Müller-Gymnasium perform a scenic representation of Kristallnacht.
All citizens are warmly invited to take part in the event.
