Citizens' workshops in Bernhardswald: Shape the future of your community!
The municipality of Bernhardswald has set out to work together with the citizens on the future of the place. Since autumn 2023, we have been working intensively on two important development concepts that will set the course for the coming years. These concepts, the Integrated Urban Development Concept (ISEK) and the Community Development Concept (GEK), are designed to define the goals and measures for local development and to create new funding opportunities.
A kick-off event took place in October 2023, which has already attracted many interested citizens. An online participation event was then launched, allowing citizens to contribute their ideas and opinions via a digital platform. In spring 2024, walks were organized in various districts, giving residents the opportunity to explore their surroundings and collect suggestions for improvements.
Idea generation workshops
In order to further develop the collected ideas, the community invites you to two workshops. The first workshop will take place on September 16, 2024 in the auditorium of the elementary school in Pettenreuth. The focus here will be on transport connections in the districts. Participants are invited to discuss existing gaps in bus supply and possible new offers.
On the same day there will be another workshop in the meeting room of the town hall in Bernhardswald. Here, citizens can submit their ideas for the design of the town hall square and the old town center. Questions about cycle and pedestrian paths and the creation of mobility points are also addressed.
The second workshop will take place on October 1, 2024 at the Gasthof zur Post in Kürn. The conversion of the inn into a club and community center is being discussed here. Citizens are invited to collect ideas about what spaces are needed and how collaboration within the community can be promoted.
Anyone interested is warmly invited to take part in these workshops and contribute their ideas. The community is looking forward to active participation and suggestions from citizens.
