The newly built landscape cinema at the KTB, located at one of the most picturesque viewpoints in the region, was inaugurated in a festive ceremony. Numerous guests were present when the Catholic priest Hubert Bartel and the Protestant pastor Manuel Sauer blessed this special place together. In the future, the landscape cinema will offer visitors a space for peace, reflection and encounters.
In his speech, Mayor Karlheinz Budnik emphasized the importance of landscape cinema for the surrounding communities. "This place connects Krummennaab, Reuth bei Erbendorf and Windischeschenbach not only through its impressive views, but also through its symbolic meaning for our community. Here we can engage with nature and our shared history," explained the mayor.
Connection to the region
Another important aspect is the connection to the GEO center in Windischeschenbach. “This site lies in the heart of our region and allows us to better understand and appreciate the geological treasures that surround us,” Budnik added. He expressed his gratitude to church officials for blessing the landscape cinema and praised the local companies involved in the construction and the property owners who supported the project.
Pastor Bartel, who carried out the Catholic blessing, emphasized the spiritual significance of the place: "Such a place, where heaven and earth meet, is a place of peace. Here we can contemplate the vastness of creation and find peace. I think this is money well spent! May this landscape cinema be a place of community and dialogue." Pastor Sauer also emphasized the importance of contemplating nature and the opportunity to find inner contemplation in this place.
After the blessing, Mayor Budnik emphasized that the project was implemented in and for the region right from the start: "It was particularly important to us that the added value remained local. The companies involved have done an excellent job and we are proud that this initiative represents an impetus for our community not only culturally but also economically."
