The new city library in Vohenstrauß recently opened its doors. The first guests can explore the new premises in a modern and charming atmosphere. The opening took place on October 31, 2024 for invited guests.

mayorAndreas Wutzlhoferwas pleased with the successful completion of the project. The new “living room of the city” at Marktplatz 3 invites you to linger and browse. The furnishings combine modern design with cozy charm. This means that both young and older visitors feel comfortable.
Another plus point is the large inventory of media and books that are now accessible digitally. Visitors can check the availability of media from the comfort of their own home. Donate for new books
As part of the opening ceremony, the first board of the Bayern fan club,Joseph Maier, a donation of 500 euros to the library team. This support is intended to help expand the library's inventory with new books.Tanya Riesthanked him warmly: “This support helps us to further expand our offerings and get even more people excited about reading.”
An opening event for the public will take place in the near future. The opening hours of the city library are Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
