Helpers on the way to school urgently needed: Together for the safety of our children!
The Pyrbaum market is urgently looking for new school helpers to ensure the safety of those starting school. These volunteers play a critical role in ensuring children get to and from school safely. Their support is particularly essential at pedestrian crossings, which are often considered safe, as many drivers do not follow traffic rules.
The situation is not new: at the end of a school year, many parents withdraw from this important service as soon as their children change schools. In recent years, several school route helpers who have provided this service with great commitment for many years have retired.
Call for support
Now new helpers on the way to school are in demand again - be it from parents, grandparents or other committed people who want to work for the safety of the children. The helpers are needed on a weekly basis to be present at dangerous traffic points for around half an hour in the morning and at lunchtime. It's your job to make sure students get across the streets safely. The more people take part, the less often each individual has to be on duty, which reduces the burden.
The campaign is supported by the traffic police and the Neumarkt police station, who will also offer professional training for the helpers. This ensures that everyone involved is well prepared and that the safety of the children comes first.
Those interested can contact the Pyrbaum market directly to receive more information. Ms Lehmeier can be reached on 09180 9405 26. It's a great opportunity to actively contribute to children's safety and get involved in the community.
Together we can ensure that the “Safe to School – Safe to Home” campaign is a complete success.
