48 firefighters were honored in Deining for 1,625 years of active service. The mayor and district administrator appreciate their efforts.

48 firefighters in Deining honored for decades of service
48 firefighters receive a state honor for their many years of service. The celebratory evening begins with a church service by the priestMichael Konecnycelebrated. mayorPeter Meierwelcomes those present in the town hall. “Today we can honor 1,625 years of active fire service,” he states. He emphasizes: “You are ready to serve your neighbors 365 days a year, day and night.”
Operations and hours
Since the last state fire brigade honor in October 2022, the community has logged a total of 198 operations. These missions required a total of 3,264 hours. Also district administratorWillibald Gaillerexpresses his respect to the 600 active firefighters. District fire councilJürgen Kohlin his welcoming speech thanks him for the work he has done. He emphasizes the strength of his comrades during operations and exercises. This also includes maintaining the equipment and building new fire stations.
Honors for long service

There will be an award for 25 years of service for 21 firefighters. 25 firefighters receive the honor for 40 years of active service. Two honors are even given for 50 years. "We are very proud of our 9 fire departments and their important and indispensable commitment. True to the motto: to honor God, to defend our neighbor," explains the community leader.
As a thank you for 40 years of active service, there is a voucher for a week's vacation in the fire brigade recreation home in Bayerisch Gmain. The community of Deining joins the honor with another voucher for the partner.
