Felix Wanninger: A new star in the Dalking religious community
Little Felix Wanninger received the sacrament of baptism last Sunday in the parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Dalking. He is the second child of Julia and Maximilian Wanninger from Gtreib. Deacon Alfred Dobler picked up the parents and the baptismal community at the main entrance and opened the liturgical celebration.
Solemn ceremony
The celebration began with a reading of Scripture, followed by a speech and a litany of intercessions. The priest expressed his joy that the parents decided to raise their son in the faith. He emphasized that Felix should become part of the large Catholic religious community. Dobler appealed to the baptismal community, especially to the parents and godmother Katharina Schuss, to integrate baptism into daily life.
The ceremonial baptism with holy water took place in front of the altar. Felix was then anointed with chrism. After handing over the baptismal candle, the father lit it from the Easter candle. The music group “veritas” from Pemfling provided the musical accompaniment.
