Municipality of Arrach: New initiatives for safety and culture in the Seepark

The community of Arrach is preparing for an important event: On Thursday, August 22, 2024, a partnership meeting of the cross-border community alliance “Künisches Gebirge” will take place in the picturesque Seepark Arrach. This event promises to provide a platform for exchange and collaboration between the communities involved.

The meeting will not only offer the opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, but also to promote new collaborations. Expansion of the car sharing offer

Another important issue in the municipality of Arrach is the extension of the car sharing program. The municipality has taken the initiative to promote the use of car sharing while reducing the burden on the environment. Interested companies have the opportunity to secure advertising space to support the maintenance of the car sharing location. This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get involved while contributing to sustainability.

The new prices for the car sharing offer were also announced. The use of a diesel-powered minibus costs 6.90 euros per hour and 59.90 euros for 24 hours. In addition, 300 kilometers are free per booking, while 0.15 euros are charged for each additional kilometer. These transparent prices are intended to make the use of car sharing services more attractive for citizens.

The municipality has also invested in the safety of its citizens. The bridge over the Weißer Regen, which represents an important connection to the Seepark, was renovated. This bridge, which has been heavily used since its completion in 1998, has been given new larch wood flooring with anti-slip material. The cost of this measure is around 2,000 euros and is intended to ensure the safety of pedestrians, especially in the winter months.

In addition, a new instrument path was opened in the Seepark, which is intended to encourage both children and adults to learn a musical instrument. This trail, which stretches for one and a half kilometers, offers 25 panels with information about various instruments and QR codes that lead to short videos. This initiative aims to promote interest in music and strengthen cultural education in the region.

With these projects, the municipality of Arrach shows its commitment to a sustainable and secure future. The combination of cultural, environmental and security measures underlines the efforts to improve the quality of life of citizens and further develop the region.
