Arrach: New car sharing and instrument trail opened in Seepark

The community of Arrach is preparing for an important event: On Thursday, August 22, 2024, a partnership meeting of the cross-border community alliance “Künisches Gebirge” will take place in the picturesque Seepark Arrach. This event promises to provide a platform for exchange and collaboration between the communities involved.

The meeting will not only attract local representatives, but also guests from neighboring regions who are interested in greater networking. The Seepark, known for its idyllic location and leisure opportunities, is chosen as the venue to create a pleasant atmosphere that promotes dialogue.

Expansion of the car sharing offer

Another important issue in the community is the extension of the car sharing program. The municipality of Arrach invites companies to secure advertising space to support the maintenance of the car sharing location. This initiative aims to promote environmentally friendly mobility and provide residents with a cost-effective transportation alternative.

Car sharing prices have also been updated. For 2023, the prices for the use of a minibus that can accommodate up to nine people have been set. The registration fee is zero euros, while the cost per hour is 6.90 euros. 24-hour use costs 59.90 euros and there is a kilometer allowance of 300 km per booking, with each additional kilometer being charged at 0.15 euros.

Renovation of the bridge in the Seepark

Another project that the community has undertaken is the renovation of the bridge over the Weißer Regen in the Seepark. This bridge, which has seen heavy use since its completion in 1998, is an important link for visitors to the park. To ensure safety, the floor covering was replaced. The municipal building yard used larch wood on its own and installed special strips to ensure slip resistance, which is particularly important for the coming winter months. The total costs for this renovation work amount to around 2,000 euros.

These measures demonstrate the Arrach municipality's commitment to both improving the infrastructure and promoting environmentally friendly mobility solutions. The preparations for the partnership meeting and the ongoing projects are a sign of the active development of the community and its desire to improve the quality of life for all citizens.
