The city of Sulzbach-Rosenberg has taken a significant step towards sustainable heat supply. The creation of a municipal heat plan began in December last year and the results have now been published. A public presentation took place on September 4th, 2024, where the most important findings were presented.
The presentation provides a comprehensive overview of the heat planning results. Particularly noteworthy is a map that visualizes the results of the aptitude test. This analysis shows how the city is divided into different heat supply areas. In addition, an inventory and potential analysis is presented, which also includes the greenhouse gas balance. A central goal of the planning is to achieve greenhouse gas neutrality by 2040, especially for households and small businesses.
