Say something: Young people are actively shaping the future of Sulzbach-Rosenberg”
In the city of Sulzbach-Rosenberg there is an exciting opportunity for young people to raise their voices and actively participate in shaping their environment. The event “Say something – shape the future of your homeland!” is aimed at young people aged 12 to 18 and offers them the platform to express their opinions, wishes and ideas on topics such as leisure activities and infrastructure. This initiative aims to ensure that youth concerns are heard in municipal planning.
The event is divided into two age groups: On Friday, October 25th, 2024, 12 to 14 year olds are invited, while 15 to 18 year olds are welcomed on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, from 6 p.m. at the HAMMATT youth leisure center, Annabergweg 1. Participation is free and the organizers will provide food. As a special highlight, there will be a raffle with attractive prizes at the end of the event to reward participation.
Open participation and important information
There is good news for young people who did not register in advance or who may not have received an invitation: they can also attend the event at short notice. However, please note that you must bring an ID card to confirm your participation.
The young people's ideas and suggestions are discussed in the city's political committees. The aim is to implement feasible suggestions together with the young participants so that their voices are not only heard but also put into action. This project is carried out in collaboration with the district youth ring and the municipal youth work Amberg-Sulzbach as well as the city of Sulzbach-Rosenberg, which underlines the importance of cooperation between different institutions.
