Municipal council meeting in Neukirchen: Important decisions on September 16th!

On September 9, 2025, the municipality of Neukirchen bei Sulzbach-Rosenberg will announce an important announcement about the upcoming meeting of the municipal council, which will take place on September 16, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the Neukirchen town hall. The meeting is open to the public and covers a variety of topics of interest to the local community. The announcement was created by Peter Achatzi, the First Mayor of Neukirchen near Sulzbach-Rosenberg, on September 8, 2025.

The agenda for the public part of the meeting includes, among other things, the approval of the last meeting minutes from July 29, 2025 and several building applications. For example, an application for the construction of a new single-family home with a double garage as well as a preliminary building request for the extension of an existing single-family home by another floor are discussed. In addition, the intended partial confiscation of the municipal connection road FlNr. 476 in the Trondorf district are discussed.

Mergers and village renewal

Another important point on the agenda is the planned merger of the special purpose association for the water supply of the Edelsfeld Group with the special purpose association for the water supply of the Sigl-Sigras Group as well as the accession of the municipality of Neukirchen to the special purpose association for the water supply of the Sigras Group. These steps are part of long-term strategies to secure water supplies in the region.

Particularly noteworthy is the point on village renewal, which is of central importance to the community. The cost agreements for the basic VLE contribution as well as the expense-related contributions incurred for the design of the recycling center and the town hall square are important topics here. Village renewal is of great national political importance and aims to improve living and working conditions in rural areas. This initiative also represents part of the rural structural policy that is relevant in Rhineland-Palatinate in order to overcome the challenges of demographic change and make the town centers attractive for all generations.

The aim of village renewal planning is to formulate models for the future with citizen participation. The support from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, which is based on the administrative regulation “Promotion of Village Renewal” of August 21, 2024, is of considerable importance. These financial resources are intended to contribute to structural development and the renovation or conversion of private buildings in rural areas.

After the public part of the meeting, there will be a non-public meeting in which internal matters can be discussed. The regular meetings of the municipal council in Neukirchen generally take place every last Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Neukirchen town hall, as Neukirchen Erzgebirge reports.
