Tomb inspection in Hirschbach: Safety first!

There will soon be an important inspection of the grave monuments in Königstein. This measure is part of the safety precautions set by the horticultural trade association. According to accident prevention regulations, all gravestones must be checked for stability at least once a year. This means that the stability of the tombstones is tested to ensure that they cannot fall over or become dangerous.

The check is carried out using a special device, the tilt tester, which loads the gravestones with a test load of 0.3 kN. This is approximately the weight of a small child. Markt Königstein is committed to carrying out this inspection regularly to ensure safety in the cemeteries. This year's inspection will take place on Monday, September 9th, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. at the cemetery in Hirschbach.

Invitation to participate

Those authorized to use the grave, i.e. the people who have the right to use a grave, are cordially invited to be present during the inspection. This gives you the opportunity to see for yourself the stability of the tombs and to clarify any questions you may have directly on site. It is important that relatives take care of the safety of the gravestones to avoid accidents.
