Cooking courses in Hahnbach: Prepare Mediterranean delicacies yourself!

On September 26, 2025, the cooking courses at the Amberg-Sulzbach Adult Education Center published their new course schedule. Particularly noteworthy is the course “Culinary Greetings from the Mediterranean”, which will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Hahnbach elementary and middle school, Max-Prechtl-Str. 8, takes place. Under the direction of Sabine Heinrich-Waidhas, participants can take part in this unique experience for 18.00 euros, although additional material costs of around 10.00 to 20.00 euros will be incurred.

In addition to the Mediterranean cooking course, other interesting events are planned. On October 17, 2025, a class for teens ages 14 and up will be offered that focuses on preparing food for Halloween. On November 14, 2025, autumn will be the focus, followed by culinary discoveries from Scandinavia on November 21, 2025.

Culinary diversity of the Mediterranean region

The Mediterranean cooking class will introduce participants to the characteristic ingredients and dishes of different Mediterranean countries. Mediterranean cuisine is known for its positive effects on human metabolism and the heart. The typical ingredients include not only vegetables, fruits and lean meat, but also olive oil, garlic, wine and various herbs. This means that participants not only benefit from a delicious experience, but also from health benefits.

Dishes such as moussaka or paella from Greek and Spanish cuisine can be prepared in good company. The cooking courses focus on the common ingredients and the diversity of Mediterranean cuisine. Practical details about the course

In order to start the course well prepared, participants should bring a cooking apron, three tea towels, food storage containers and a drink.
