The poison mobile is rolling to Ebermannsdorf and Pittersberg – register now!

The poison mobile is expected in Ebermannsdorf and Pittersberg on November 4th and 5th, 2025. This mobile collection point for hazardous waste allows citizens to hand in pollutants free of charge.

In Ebermannsdorf, the poison mobile can be found in the parking lot of the sports field on November 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. In Pittersberg it will be at the church on November 5th from 2:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. It is important that citizens contact the waste advisory service before handing it over in order to receive precise information and to clarify any restrictions. Further information on the release of toxic substances is contained in a PDF document, which, however, could not be opened ( Ebermannsdorf.de ).

Which substances can be released?

The accepted substances include used oil and waste containing oil, such as empty canisters and rags. The tax is free of charge for normal household quantities of up to 10 kg per substance per year. However, other dangerous waste such as solvent-based paints, varnishes, spray cans, chemicals, acids, alkalis, household cleaners, pesticides, fertilizers, wood preservatives and mercury cannot be handed in to the Toxmobile and must be disposed of properly. Some of these substances may only be disposed of by specialist companies or stationary collection points ( Eva Waste Disposal ).

Recycling centers in the area accept, among other things, old medication, fluorescent tubes, energy-saving lamps and device batteries, while e-bike batteries are not accepted at the Giftmobil collection points. These must be returned to the bicycle dealer.

Legal basis and danger of waste

The legal framework for the disposal of hazardous waste is closely linked to the European Waste List (EWL). These regulations ensure that waste is classified according to its hazard. Waste that is considered hazardous is marked with an asterisk (*) in the EAV and requires special handling in accordance with Waste List Ordinance (AVV).

Non-hazardous waste with dangerous ingredients has had to be treated separately since 2017, based on certain limit values. Strict documentation requirements apply when disposing of hazardous waste to ensure safety and environmentally friendly disposal.

Cooperation with local authorities and specialist companies is essential for the proper disposal of such hazardous waste. Citizens are called upon to take advantage of the services offered, such as the poison mobile, in order to dispose of pollutants safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.
