Bavarian Energy Days 2024: Actions for a green future

The Bavarian Energy Days 2024 are just around the corner and promise an exciting week full of activities and information. From September 21st to 29th, the motto will be “Energy Transition. Here. Now.” moved to the foreground. The specialist office for climate protection in the Aichach-Friedberg district office has put together a varied program that includes both educational and interactive formats.

The series begins on Friday, September 20th with a free energy saving course in Dasing. The course entitled “Save electricity comfortably and generate it yourself with balcony solar” starts at 4:30 p.m. Here participants can learn how to reduce their electricity consumption and generate their own energy at the same time.

Diverse events

Another highlight will take place on Wednesday, September 25th, in the Aichach district office. From 5:30 p.m., the Wittelsbacher Land Modernization Alliance will offer a lecture on the combination of heat pumps and photovoltaics. These two technologies are considered the ideal solution for energy-efficient renovations. This event will also feature a Market of Opportunities showcasing various energy efficiency options.

On Thursday, September 26th, anyone interested can take part in a free PV energy consultation from 2 p.m., which is offered in collaboration with the Bavarian Consumer Center e.V. This advice aims to help citizens find the best solutions for their individual needs.

Another exciting event will take place on Friday, September 27th in Friedberg. A free guided tour is offered here to view a photovoltaic system with electricity storage in a single-family home. This event offers participants the opportunity to learn first-hand how such systems work and the benefits they offer.

In addition, the Climate Protection Agency will also take part in the Bavarian Climate Week 2024, which will take place from October 11th to 20th. Under the motto “Simple.Tasty.Climate-friendly”, a colorful program with regional campaigns around the topic of sustainable nutrition is offered. The opening of the climate week will take place on Tuesday, October 15th and will be hosted by District Administrator Dr. Klaus Metzger accompanies.

A cooking course entitled “Climate-Friendly Feasting” will be offered on Wednesday, October 16th, in Aichach and on Friday, October 18th, in Dasing. These courses are designed to show participants how to prepare delicious and environmentally friendly dishes.

Another highlight of the climate week is the adventure farm tour “From Grain to Bread” on Thursday, October 17th, at the Biolandhof Kreppold. Here participants can learn more about the origins of their food and how sustainable agriculture works.

For everyone who is interested in protection against flooding, a digital event on the topic of “Basic and flood protection in existing buildings” will be offered on October 8th. This event is aimed at all citizens and offers valuable tips and information on protective measures.

Registration for the digital event is possible from September 27th via the district office's appointment tool. The Climate Protection Agency invites anyone interested to take part in these events and learn more about sustainable energy and climate protection.
