Art Promotion Prize 2024: Creative talents from Kissing wanted!
The community of Kissing has once again taken up the cause of supporting the local art scene. In collaboration with the Stadtsparkasse Augsburg and the “Lechkiesel Kissing” art group, an art funding prize is being offered for the talented artists of the Wittelsbach region. This initiative aims to promote creative minds from the Aichach-Friedberg district and offer them a platform to present their works in the Kissing town hall.
Stadtsparkasse Augsburg has been committed to artistic development in the region since 1996 and this year is donating three art prizes worth a total of 2,000 euros. These prizes are awarded in the field of “fine arts”, with a focus on the categories of painting, graphics and sculpture.
Important dates for those interested
For everyone who would like to apply for the art funding award, here are the key dates:
- 18. Oktober 2024: Bewerbungsfrist endet. Die Bewerbungen müssen bis zu diesem Datum bei der Gemeinde Kissing eingegangen sein.
- 21. Oktober 2024, 19 – 20 Uhr: Anlieferung der Kunstwerke im Rathaus Kissing, Pestalozzistr. 5, 86438 Kissing.
- 16. November 2024, 19 Uhr: Vernissage im Rathaus, bei der die eingereichten Werke vorgestellt werden.
- 19. Dezember 2024: Abholung aller Exponate während der Öffnungszeiten des Rathauses.

The winners are selected by a competent jury consisting of various artists and experts:
- Frau Turid Schuszter, freischaffende Künstlerin aus Augsburg
- Herr Martin Beckers, freischaffender Künstler aus Mering
- Herr Gerhard Springer, freischaffender Künstler aus Kissing
- Herr Marcus Heiserer, Filialleiter der Sparkasse Kissing
- Herr Reinhard Gürtner, Erster Bürgermeister der Gemeinde Kissing
