The city of Friedberg is preparing for the upcoming carnival holidays and is offering structured holiday care for children. Registrations for the care, which will take place from February 16th to 20th, 2026, are open until January 19th, 2026. Care is organized daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the open all-day care rooms at the Friedberg-Süd elementary school.

Parents can obtain the required registration forms and the questionnaire in the all-day care centers at Friedberg elementary schools or online at www.friedberg.de (keyword “holiday care”). The completed documents must then either be handed in to one of the all-day care centers or sent to the city of Friedberg, Gertrud Schnur, Marienplatz 5, 86316 Friedberg. Holiday care in Germany

The need for holiday care is particularly pronounced in Germany due to the different holiday periods for school children, as they often spend more time on holiday than their parents have. Future outlook for the holiday program

In addition, the city of Friedberg has already announced the holiday program for the 2025 summer holidays. This is organized by various voluntary groups and associations. Here too, the places are raffled off, which means that the order of registration is not important. The raffle will take place on June 23, 2025, and the results will be available online from June 24.

Parents from surrounding regions are also cordially invited to take part in the program after the raffle. Grants are available for low-income families and can be applied for in advance.
