An exciting cultural year 2026 begins: concerts and lectures in Wörth!

On December 29, 2025, the anticipation of the diverse events next year in Wörth can already be felt. The city has put together a varied cultural program for 2026 that appeals to both music lovers and those interested in art. The opening event is the New Year's Concert, which will take place on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bürgersaal, Ludwigstr. 7, will take place. At this concert, guests can expect impressive performances from Carolina Brem (violin) and Josef Huber (piano), whose program is under the motto “Sound pieces for the soul”. Tickets are available in advance for 12 euros and at the box office for 14 euros.

Another highlight will be the travel lecture “Colour Rush in Swedish Lapland”, which will also be held in the Citizens’ Hall on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. Speaker Christian Rauscher will take participants on a visual journey of discovery. The advance purchase price is 8 euros, while tickets at the box office cost 9 euros.

Various events in February and March

The reading “Memorabilia” by Petra Teufl is on the program in February. This will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the city library, Schulstrasse 1. The entrance fee is 5 euros. The topic deals with memorabilia and their stories, a certainly emotional evening for everyone present.

Another exciting event is the rock night “We Will Rock It” on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. The Solina Cello Ensemble will perform in the Bürgersaal and delight visitors with rocking sounds. Tickets cost 17 euros in advance and 19 euros at the box office.

March brings a variety of other events. On March 1, 2026, the fairy tale “The Bavarian Red Riding Hood” is on the program at 3:00 p.m., which is suitable for children and adults alike. In addition, those interested can take part in a calligraphy course entitled “The Cancellaresca”. This will take place on four Tuesdays, starting on March 3rd to March 24th, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the VHS room of the Wörth middle school. The course fee is 78 euros plus material costs.

Entertainment for all generations

A special highlight is the dance performance “The Last Seven Words of Jesus on the Cross” on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the parish church of St. Petrus, Kirchplatz 1. Admission is 5 euros, and the performance will be presented by dancer Andreas Schlögl and musician Heinz Grobmeier.

The Easter party with Boarisch.Wuid! will take place on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. in the Gasthof Butz, Kirchplatz 3. Tickets are available in advance for 10 euros and at the box office for 12 euros. Access is permitted from 16 years of age.

Guests can also expect a live radio play entitled “Magdalena according to Ludwig Thoma” on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in the Bürgersaal. Tickets cost 14 euros in advance and 16 euros at the box office.

The concert “Bavarian meets Irish” will also take place on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bürgersaal. Tickets are available for 15 euros in advance and 17 euros at the door. The family-friendly sing-along concert “Sternschnuppe – Bavarian Children’s Songs” will also be offered on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Schlosskeller, Schlossberg 1. Entrance fees are 9 euros for children, 12 euros for adults and 28 euros for a family ticket.

Finally, visitors can enjoy the concert “Bangers & Mash – Finest Pub Songs” in the Bürgersaal on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. The ticket costs 14 euros in advance and 16 euros at the box office. On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the event program ends with the “Heavy Goat” concert in the castle cellar at 7:30 p.m., for which tickets cost 10 euros in advance and 12 euros at the box office.
