This is continuing to expand the fiber optic network within the city on its own.
Expansion area and goals
The expansion area extends along Bahnhofsstrasse over Regensburger Strasse. It opens up the commercial areas between Bauscherstrasse and Moosbürger Strasse as well as along Nikolaus-Otto-Strasse. Starting next year, up to 20 kilometers of fiber optic cable will be laid. This will provide up to 350 companies and 650 households with Gigaspeed Internet.

But fast Internet is also becoming more and more important for the citizens.
