The town of Waldsassen has come up with something very special to properly celebrate the 130th anniversary of its twin town Chodov. On Saturday, September 14, 2024, there will be a free bus trip from Waldsassen to Chodov, open to anyone interested. The departure is scheduled for 4 p.m. from the bus station and the return journey takes place after the big fireworks display that will be set off at 10 p.m.
The town festival in Chodov promises an exciting program with a variety of musical performances. Moderated by Petr Cimpera, artists Dara Rollins will perform at 5 p.m., Kroky Michala Davida at 7 p.m. and Dash a Pajky Pajk at 9 p.m., among others. These events provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy the local culture and festive atmosphere.

The free bus trip is supported by the Interreg program and the Euregio Egrensis, which means that participants do not have to pay any costs for the return trip. To ensure that there are enough places available, registration is recommended. Anyone interested can register directly with the Waldsassen Tourist Information Office on 09632 88160.
