The Tirschenreuth Art Association's anniversary exhibition delights visitors

A special event celebrating the local art scene took place at the MuseumsQuartier Tirschenreuth on Wednesday evening. Mayor Franz Stahl opened the annual exhibition of the Tirschenreuth Art Association with a warm speech in which he welcomed numerous guests. Among those present were not only the club chairwoman Petra Schicker, but also the new chaplain Alexander Röse and the mayor of Mitterteich, Stefan Grillmeier. The musical accompaniment was provided by talented students from the district music school, who gave the event a festive touch.

The opening speech focused on a double reason for joy: the art association is celebrating its 10th anniversary, while at the same time 35 years of artistic activities in Tirschenreuth are being honored. Mayor Stahl praised the artists' impressive achievements and the numerous projects that were realized during this time. “The collaboration with our partner city Lauf ad Pegnitz is another example of the creative exchange that takes place here,” he emphasized.

The exhibition in detail

The exhibition, which runs until November 6th, presents around 50 works by 31 artists. A special area is dedicated to the deceased members of the association, including Erich Werner, Hans-Georg Schulze and Fritz Fischer, whose works are also on display. Visitors can also admire the creative work of students from the Tirschenreuth primary school, who bring a breath of fresh air into the exhibition with their imaginative pictures.

Petra Schicker, the chairwoman of the art association, encouraged the guests to look at the works of art with an open heart. "Each artist tried to do their best. The journey from idea to finished work of art is often challenging but also very fulfilling," she explained. The exhibition not only offers an insight into the diversity of art, but also into the passion and dedication of the artists.

The event attracted numerous visitors interested in the art and the stories behind the works. The atmosphere was one of curiosity and enthusiasm as guests explored the various exhibits and interacted with the artists. The opening was a complete success and a sign of the lively art scene in Tirschenreuth.
