In Tirschenreuth, the heads of the local kindergartens and the daycare center in the Marien primary school recently met with important representatives of the city administration. Mayor Franz Stahl, city treasurer Harald Eckstein and the responsible officer for kindergartens, Franziska Zahn, were also present. At this annual meeting, numerous topics that are important for early childhood care were discussed.
A central topic was registering the need for childcare. It was made clear that registration for daycare centers and after-school care must only be done via the city of Tirschenreuth's citizen service portal. The registration period for the upcoming 2025/2026 educational year begins on November 1st and ends on December 31st, 2024. This is an important deadline that parents should keep in mind to ensure that their children get a place in the desired institution.

The citizen service portal, which contains the link to register the need for daycare places, can be found on the official website of the city of Tirschenreuth. Parents can access the information under the heading “Life in Tirschenreuth/Children & Young People/Child Care”. This central point of contact is intended to make the registration process easier for everyone involved and ensure that all registrations are submitted on time and correctly.
In addition to registrations, the kindergartens invite you to an open day. This will take place on September 27th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in several facilities, including the Evangelical kindergarten, the Catholic children's home Our Lady and the Marien primary school, which also includes the Caritas daycare center and lunchtime care. On October 2nd, the BRK children's home Weltentdecker, the BRK forest kindergarten Waldentdecker and the municipal children's home Kunterbunt will also open their doors to interested parents and children from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
