Visit of the honey princess: Farewell to the Kemnather weekly market

At the end of this year's Kemnath weekly market season, another "high-ranking visitor" has been announced. On November 14th, the reigning Bavarian Honey Princess,Anja Bürzer, visit the market. She took up her position for the years 2024 to 2026 on September 15th in Ansbach at the Bavarian Beekeepers Day.

Visitors can look forward to numerous caterers who will pamper them with regional and seasonal products. At the stand of a Kemnath beekeeper, they will share interesting facts about honey with young and old market visitors. The Honey Princess wants to convey that honey is not only a delicious spread, but also has health-promoting healing effects.Anja Bürzersays: "I have been beekeeping since I was 13 years old in my home town of Pförring. My bee godmother taught me the craft of beekeeping. And every year we - the beekeepers and the bees alike - are faced with new challenges, be it the different development of the bee colonies or temperature shifts in the seasons. During my term of office, I would like to convey how much work goes into a jar of honey and what is so special about the honey from Bavarian beekeepers."

Invitation to school classes and kindergartens

School classes and kindergartens are also very welcome, as they would certainly like to see a real princess and find out what great regional products are available to buy.

Afterwards the weekly market says goodbye to the winter break. Next year it will restart on the following dates: March 6, 2025, May 8, 2025, July 3, 2025, September 11, 2025 and November 13, 2025.
