The Upper Palatinate Lake District Hiking Weeks are a highlight in the region's event calendar and attract numerous hiking enthusiasts every year. This year, the popular hiking weeks will take place from September 14th to October 6th, 2024, and the eight municipalities of the Lake District have put together an exciting program.
The city of Neunburg vorm Wald starts with a guided tour through the “Prackendorfer and Kulzer Moos” nature reserve. Under the motto “What’s going on in the moss?” Participants can discover the fascinating flora and fauna of the area. This first hike is just the beginning of a series of seven further tours that lead through the picturesque landscapes of the Upper Palatinate Lake District. The hikes are designed to suit all ages and interests, from adventurous experiences to educational journeys of discovery.
Diverse hiking offers
The hiking weeks offer a wide range of topics and experiences. Whether you want to experience nature up close or learn more about the special features of the region, there is something for everyone. The tours are not only an opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, but also to gather interesting information about the region. The municipality's tourist information offices are available to provide detailed information about individual hikes.
From August 24, 2024, interested parties can register for the hikes online at www.oberpfaelzer-seenland.de and view the complete program of the hiking weeks. The anticipation of the upcoming experiences is already noticeable and the participants can look forward to unforgettable days in nature.
