Discover Schwandorf's dark secrets on a city tour
An exciting city tour will be offered in Schwandorf on Saturday, September 1st at 5:00 p.m., which will immerse visitors in the dark chapters of the city's history. Under the title “Tatort Schwandorf – Executioner, Crook, Broomstick”, the Theaterbühne Schwandorf e.V. invites you to discover the mysterious and often gruesome stories of witches and executioners.
The tour promises to be a real experience, tracing the trails of scams and crimes that took place in taverns and fairs in the past. Historical documents and excerpts from police reports from the “good old days” provide an insight into the strange and often funny, but also gruesome, events that once characterized Schwandorf.
Insights into the past
A special highlight of the tour is the visit to the historic rock cellars, where participants have the opportunity to take part in a beer quality test - in the style of the “Bierkieser” of the 19th century. The actors on the theater stage bring these true stories to life with a lot of commitment and passion and take guests to the crime scenes in the city.
The entire tour lasts about two and a half hours and costs 22.00 euros per person. The meeting point for participants is the tourist office at Kirchengasse 1. Registration is required to take part in the tour.
