The Highnesses Donna I. and Sophia from Biblis visit Nittenau. You will be welcomed by the mayor and members of the town twinning association. Lunch at the Jakob brewery inn is on the program. Here the hosts get to know their Highnesses better.
Visit to Nittenau
Donna I. is 17 years old and plays trumpet in a brass band. She lives with her parents and her younger brother in Biblis. She has started her training to become a medical assistant. Dancing and music are her hobbies. Cucumber Princess Sophia is 16 years old. She lives with her parents and two sisters in Biblis. Sophia attends the 10th grade at the Lessing Gymnasium in Lampertheim and is passionate about dancing.
The delegation from Biblis has a tight program. After a guided tour of the city, stop off at the city cafe on the market square. Then they prepare for a ghost walk. In Hof am Regen you visit the castle chapel and enjoy the view over the Regental. A photo with the actors rounds off the visit.
Witches' Sabbath and performances
At Stefling Castle, their Highnesses bring greetings from Biblis. They are looking forward to the spectacle. Shortly before dusk, eerie sounds announce the “Witches' Sabbath”. Two wandering brothers promise to banish the witches. But the witchcraft has the opposite effect. Their Highnesses are impressed by the production. At the end they have their photo taken with the devil and the witches.
The story of the Stockenfels beer adulterers is presented in Neuhaus. The dishonest waitress is sentenced to the “panscher penance”. The guests are then invited to the volunteer fire department in Nittenau. An “Italian evening” will take place there.
Gifts and friendship meetings
The next day, their Highnesses exchange gifts in the town hall. After a little drink and a film about Nittenau, everyone goes to the wake board facility. There is the largest wooden ball on Lake Steinberger. A lunch together in the Kugelwirtschaft follows. The people of Nittenau invite the delegation to the 25-year friendship meeting in Biblis. In Nittenau this is celebrated as part of the community festival.
