Get ready for the magic of the Hammersee in Bodenwöhr. On Sunday, December 8, 2024, the festival opens its doors at 2 p.m. The art and culture garden as well as the waterfront promenade on Lake Hammersee up to the “Alte Heide” offer many lovingly designed stalls and stands.

Diverse offer for everyone

There are numerous handmade specialties to discover for young and old. Visitors can look forward to a variety of handicrafts. Here everyone will find the perfect, lovingly made gift for their loved ones. The culinary offering also leaves nothing to be desired. Punch, mulled wine, tea as well as pizza, chili con carne and crepes are on the menu.

St. Nicholas' Bockerl train brings a festive atmosphere

A special attraction is the Santa Claus Bockerl train. This year he is driving from Blechhammer to Sulzmühl near Nittenau. The Christkindl post office has set up a branch at the exit point at the Schöneck site. There the Christmas angels are waiting for the children's wish lists and have prepared a little surprise.

The Santa Claus Bockerl train runs at the following times:

– Blechhammer departure: 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m
– Bodenwöhr Hut departure: 12.10, 14.10, 16.10, 18.10
– Arrival in Nittenau: 12.30 p.m., 2.30 p.m., 4.30 p.m., 6.30 p.m
– Return journey from the Schöneck site to Blechhammer: 12.40 p.m., 2.40 p.m., 4.40 p.m., 6.40 p.m

Since the neighboring municipalities do not take part in the St. Nicholas' Bockerl parade, a small contribution towards costs applies. A train ticket from Blechhammer to the Schöneck site and back costs 3.00 euros. Children can travel on the train for free.
