Cultural highlights in November and December: concerts and workshops in Wörth

Pop up concert with Marion Weickl and Sebastian Ebnet

Marion Weickl and Sebastian Ebnet are giving a short-term concert in the Bürgersaal Wörth. The two musicians will perform on November 2nd, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, donations are requested. Weickl plays the flute and saxophone, while Ebnet plays the piano. Both have found a lot of joy in making music together in the last few months.

Diverse repertoire

The duo has put together a varied repertoire. Pieces by Edvard Grieg, Gabriel Faure, G. F. Handel, Emil Kronke as well as Celtic Folk and Klezmer will be played. "They don't commit to one direction. They play whatever comes into their hands, whatever they like, is fun and sounds good," say the organizers.

Digital Advent calendar

There will also be a digital K.i.W. Advent calendar. This year, short films show cultural workers from Wörth. The concert also serves to film Marion Weickl's music.

String wind in the Bürgersaal

The group Saitenwind will perform on November 10, 2024 at 5 p.m. Admission costs 9.00 euros in advance and 10.00 euros at the box office. Saitenwind presents rhythmic string music that deviates from the usual zither clichés. The zithers are in high-gloss red and green.

Three zither players experiment with their instruments. “Other strings,” is the group’s motto, and shows that the zither can do more than just folk music. In addition to boorics and polkas, there are also soulful ballads and lively rhythms.

Creative videos with Roland Holzer

A workshop with Roland Holzer will take place on November 20, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the youth club. The fee is 10.00 euros. Young people aged 12 and over learn about the possibilities of AI and video technology. They playfully create short video scenes with their own smartphone cameras.

The event is a joint initiative of the Youth Work Association in the Regensburg District, the Donau.Wald Family Support Center and KiW.

Advent concert with duet complete

On December 8, 2024 at 7 p.m. there will be an Advent concert with a complete duet in the Bürgersaal. Admission costs 13.00 euros in advance and 15.00 euros at the box office. The group presents atmospheric songs about autumn, winter, Christmas, love and friendship.

The musicians Dagmar Dengel and Walter Heigl create a thoughtful, contemplative and humorous atmosphere.
