Wiesent celebrates: 26th Christmas market from November 28th to 30th!

The 26th Christmas market in the municipality of Wiesent will take place from November 28th to 30th, 2025. This festive event is held on the Wiesenter village square and promises a varied program for the whole family. Opening hours are Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Christmas market is organized by the municipality of Wiesent, which is also responsible for the organizational details. Visitors can look forward to a variety of stalls offering typical Christmas items, including Christmas market lanterns, greeting cards, popcorn, nativity scenes, Christmas tree decorations and many handmade gifts. Physical well-being is not neglected either, with offers such as mulled wine, children's punch and various dishes.

Program highlights

The opening of the Christmas market will take place on Friday, November 28th at 6:30 p.m. with festive trumpet sounds, followed by a performance by the band “Martin & friends” at 8:00 p.m. Visitors can look forward to a colorful hustle and bustle at the market until 10 p.m.

Saturday is especially designed for children: a reading begins at 3 p.m. in the community center, followed by performances by the Regensburg city brass band and the Wiesent church choir. A musical tour by the night watchman at 9:30 p.m. rounds off the day before the market closes at 10 p.m.

More highlights await visitors on Sunday. After opening at 10:30 a.m., there will be Advent music with the Wörth town band at 11:30 a.m. and a performance by the children's group from the Wiesent Folk Dance Circle at 12:30 p.m. Santa Claus visits the little guests in the afternoon at 3:00 p.m., and the event ends with an Advent concert with SignifiCantus and the celebratory tour of the night watchman at 6:30 p.m.

Special events

A special highlight is the Christmas reading for children aged 3 and over, which takes place on Saturday, November 29th, in the community center. In addition, the KLJB Wiesent after-Christmas market party will be celebrated on Friday evening at 9 p.m. in the Wiesent sports center.
