On January 29, 2026, the cancellation of the planning decision and the discontinuation of the land use plan process for Grünthaler Straße was officially announced. This measure concerns the development plan “Grünthaler Straße 12th Amendment” and is based on the Building Code (BauGB). The municipal council of Wenzenbach had already decided at its meeting on November 25, 2025 to revoke the planning decision that was issued on April 26, 2022 and to discontinue the land use plan process.
The decision was made after the investor signaled that he would not continue with the land use planning process. With this setting, all previous decisions in this context are repealed. This official announcement was made by the First Mayor Sebastian Koch on January 19, 2026 and corresponds to the requirements of Section 2 Paragraph 1 BauGB and Section 1 Paragraph 8 BauGB.
