Winter sports highlight: District championships in St. Englmar are exciting!
On February 7, 2026, the district championship in alpine skiing took place in the Pfarrstuhl Arena in the St. Englmar ski region. This exciting event was organized by the Neutraubling Ski Club under the direction of Christoph Heininger in cooperation with the Ski-Snowboard-Inline department of TV Schierling. District Administrator Tanja Schweiger took over the patronage and was pleased about the lively participation of 118 winter sports enthusiasts.
The competition started at 6.30 p.m. and was held as a night run under floodlights. The athletes showed impressive performances on the winter slopes. At the end of the day the winners could be determined: Marie-Therese Schreiner from SC Großberg achieved the fastest time for the women with 35.87 seconds, while Fabio Wolf, also from SC Großberg, won the men's championship with a time of 35.69 seconds. However, due to the low number of participants in some categories, no district championship was announced in the age groups.
Club and family ranking
In the club rankings, SC Großberg performed best and secured first place with 395 points. The following table shows the results in the club rankings:
| Place | Association | Points |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | SC Großberg | 395 |
| 2 | SC Neutraubling | 165 |
| 3 | TV Hemlock | 56 |
| 4 | SWC Law | 33 |
| 5 | Wenzenbach | 15 |
The family ranking was not forgotten either. Here the Ruckdaeschel family from SC Großberg prevailed with 51 points and were therefore declared winners. The Lang family, also from SC Großberg, took second place with 45 points.
