No parking in Sünching: Christmas magic from the Montessori market!
The popular Montessori Christmas market will take place in Sünching from November 21st to 23rd, 2025. On the occasion of the event, a short-term parking ban was introduced in several streets in order to improve the traffic situation and keep emergency routes clear. The streets affected by the parking ban include Klinikstrasse, Geiselhöringer Strasse, Kirchstrasse and Dorfäckerstrasse. The signage is set up in accordance with the road traffic regulations and indicates that parking is prohibited on state roads St 2111 and St 2146. There are also bans on stopping on one side of Hospital Street and on both sides of Dorfäckerstrasse, near the school.
The events team, led by Sonja Hampel, worked for months on organizing the Christmas market. The opening of the market will be celebrated in a festive setting despite the changeable November weather. The market is a popular attraction not only in Sünching but far beyond. Mayor Robert Spindler praised the initiative and the magnificent Christmas tree in front of the Montessori school, which offers the community a wonderful enrichment.
Diverse offer and supporting program
The Christmas market will feature over 40 exhibitors showcasing handmade goods, including poinsettias, jewelry and Advent decorations. Culinary stands offer delicacies such as apple and cinnamon punch, potato specialties and cracker rolls at family-friendly prices. Preparing stick bread on an open fire is particularly popular – an experience that both children and adults enjoy.
The cultural supporting program will be enriched by performances from the Liedertafel, alphorn players and students from the Montessori school, who will present their talents. The event, which was launched by the Sünching Montessori Association in 2002, is an annual highlight for the community.
Organization and security
Comprehensive planning is required for the smooth running of the Christmas market. Experts are used to advise on security and infrastructure. Approvals must be obtained from the local administration and all necessary security concepts must be developed. The support of numerous helpers is crucial to ensure an unforgettable stay for visitors. Observing traffic rules and correct signage are particularly important in order to avoid dangers and disruptions in traffic.
Organizing such a market is a complex undertaking that involves a variety of logistical aspects, from the selection of exhibitors to the technical equipment and decoration. Ultimately, the Montessori Christmas market will once again offer a festive experience in Sünching that brings young and old together and creates a wonderful Advent atmosphere.
Visitors are asked to observe the organizers' signs and instructions to ensure road safety during the event. The parking ban will be lifted immediately after the market ends.
