City Freedom Day 2024: Ceremony with the mayor and awards
MayorGertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischerinvites you to the traditional ceremony on the occasion of City Freedom Day on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the Historical Reichssaal of the Old Town Hall. The event provides an opportunity to celebrate the importance of urban freedom.
Free citizen quota
A limited number of free admission tickets are reserved for interested citizens. These can be picked up on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Tourist Information at the Old Town Hall (Rathausplatz 4). One card is available per person. The number of participants is limited. The invitation cards can be sold out quickly if demand is high.
It is also possible to register for the event by name online at www.regensburg.de/anmelde-buergerkontingent. Even with digital registration, the available places are limited and can only be considered in the order in which they are received. Participation is only possible after confirmation from the main office.
The keynote speech entitled “Freedom needs responsibility – cities as a connecting element” will be given byMarkus Pannermayr, Mayor of the City of Straubing and Chairman of the Bavarian Association of Cities.
