Since the evening of October 20, 2024, traffic has been running continuously again between the Regensburg motorway junction and the Rosenhof junction. This is done on a new noise protection surface that was installed in the last few days.

Completion of the construction site

Work on the six-lane expansion of the A3 motorway is in the final construction phase. Around 7,500 tons of open-pored asphalt have been installed on the Nuremberg carriageway since October 18, 2024. The traffic restrictions and the partial closure of the Regensburg-Universität junction have now been lifted. Only some remaining work remains.

Autobahn GmbH informs that the construction work on the Sinzing motorway bridge is expected to be completed by November 4, 2024. This means that all construction site facilities on the bridge will be dismantled by this date.
