Ceremonial inauguration of the new MTW: Viehhausen fire department in action
The Viehhausen Volunteer Fire Department opened its doors to the public on September 7th and 8th and organized an exciting festival. The musical accompaniment by Bernadette Gress, Anna Weinzierl and Nina Lippert gave the ceremony a special touch. Thanks to the supporters
Andreas Wittmann, the first director of the fire department, addressed warm words to the guests in his speech and spoke about the history of vehicle procurement. He particularly highlighted the achievements of Roland Schmid, who carried out the entire planning and tendering of the new MTW himself. Wittmann also thanked the members for their financial contributions, which enabled the fire department association to contribute 25,000 euros to the purchase of the vehicle.
Matthias Schwindl, the first commander, informed the numerous visitors about the technical details of the new vehicle and emphasized the fire department's many in-house efforts, which had already been demonstrated in previous procurements and in the construction of the fire station. He also acknowledged the financial support of the fire department association. In his welcoming speech, Thomas Schwindl, the third mayor, expressed the challenges that the municipalities face in equipping the fire departments with modern vehicles and facilities. He appealed to Patrick Grossmann, a member of the state parliament who was present, to reconsider the funding conditions.
Patrick Grossmann praised the high level of commitment of the Viehhausen fire department and emphasized that it was only through this dedication that the new team vehicle worth 115,000 euros could be purchased. He wished all emergency services a safe journey with the new vehicle.
The festival was celebrated until late in the evening with brilliant weather and excellent food. Thanks to the many dedicated helpers, the festival was able to be dismantled in time before the announced change in the weather.
