Complete closure in Aufhausen: renovation work starts on October 17th

The road construction work in Aufhausen is just around the corner and will bring with it some changes. On Thursday, October 17, 2024, the Regensburg State Building Authority will begin the renovation of State Road 2146. This measure affects local transit and is expected to last until the end of November.

In the first phase of the work, the section between Gansbach and the entrance to Aufhausen will be completed by October 16, 2024. From October 17th, traffic from Pfakofen to the “Am Fürberg” junction will be reopened. But the joy of the reopening will only be short-lived, because the renovation will focus on another approximately 150 meter long section, which extends from the road divider at the entrance to the town to the “Am Hirtacker” junction.

Details about the traffic situation

During construction work, this new section will be closed until the end of November. This means that access to important facilities such as the supermarket and the children's home will only be possible from Gansbach. Access via the existing footpath and cycle path remains open for pedestrians and cyclists at all times, which offers a certain degree of flexibility.

The diversion for traffic is from the direction of Sünching via Triftlfing, Langenerling, Hagelstadt and Pfakofen. This diversion will also be signposted in the opposite direction to ensure traffic flow. Those responsible emphasize that they are doing everything they can to keep the inconvenience for road users as low as possible.

It is important to note that all dates mentioned are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. Residents and road users are asked for their understanding, especially on the diversion routes, as the construction work will cause unavoidable disruption.
