Schafhöfen solar park: new construction plan in Mötzing finally approved!

The development plan for the “Schafhöfen Solar Park” was unanimously approved by the Mötzing municipal council on December 8, 2025. This marks a significant step in the planning of an environmentally friendly project that aims to promote the use of renewable energy. According to the official announcement, with this decision the land use planning comes into force, which means important progress for the region. The planning authority is the municipality of Mötzing, while the Martin Huber engineering firm acts as the plan author. The approved plan refers to the project-related development and green space plan as well as the integrated project and development plan “Solar park and battery storage Mötzing/Schafhöfen”. The preliminary draft of the plan dates from September 9, 2024, while the first and second draft versions were created on April 14, 2025 and September 15, 2025. In order to further develop the project, the version of the statutes was finalized on October 20, 2025.
